Cardiff customer keeps coming back – stairlift!

16.07.24

We receive inquiries from all sorts of people, but it’s common for us to hear from adults seeking to help their aging parents adapt their homes.

Sometimes, the person who will benefit from the home adaptation isn’t the one doing the research or making the call. For example, Henry was looking for someone to update his parents’ bathroom with a walk-in shower since getting in and out of the bath was becoming increasingly difficult for them.

After chatting with Henry, we visited his parents at their home in Cardiff to assess the space and figure out how we could adapt the bathroom to better meet their needs.

A quick turnaround on a walk-in shower

We noticed that there was enough space in the bathroom to install a walk-in shower without having to replace everything. Henry’s parents were excited about our recommendation of the Kinemagic walk-in shower, which fit perfectly where the bath used to be. We managed to complete the installation in just two days, without needing to make any changes to the rest of the bathroom.

Later that year, Henry reached out again to inquire about fitting a stairlift.

A stairlift for a narrow staircase

After being satisfied with the bathroom adaptation, Henry’s parents decided to have us install a stairlift in their home. Even though the staircase was very narrow, we successfully installed a Flow X stairlift while still keeping the handrail on one side. After the stairlift was installed, Henry’s parents began thinking about ways to improve their kitchen since Henry’s mother was having trouble reaching the kitchen units.
